More reasons for becoming a doctor: one is allowed to prescribe
Atropa belladonna in high doses. (but why would someone want to do that?!?)
Can't explain... just
see for yourself.
Although I'm still suffering from the extraction of my wisdom tooth, i've found out it can always be worse. A friend ended up in hospital, a few days after such an extraction. He had a huge abscess in his mouth and the one half of his face was swollen like a balloon! He was (and still is) in a lot of pain, but at least at home now. If i had know this could happen (and apparently it happens relatively often) i would have thought it over at least 10 times!
happening at work. Ok, not very original i know. But sometimes things happen during work that make me go: "what?!" Today on the top of the list:
2 young adults want to buy 96% alcohol (or as strong as possible) to make herbal tinctures. Apparently it's an experiment for school... yeah, try again. Ok, they want to make 'herbal' tinctures to drink. Well better use vodka...
One way or the other, I always end up (almost) drunk on the sofa when he's gone for the weekend. Or at least, I've done so for the last three times he went camping with his friends. (So he's probably drunk too.)
It's all her fault. She has a sixth sense for knowing when he's gone... and invites herself to sleep over on 'her' sparebed (and brings over a bottle of pims.) So... oh, no, we're doing it again.
*hips*
*hihi*
Somewhere something went wrong... but this time it def wasn't us. Was it the pims yet again? It could be the coffee? Or the whiskey cream... or the overdose of sugar and cinnamon? Or was it us after all?
we've lost air...
Remember our tea-tasting party? We've now done the same thing, but are high on coffee *bounce, bounce, bounce* Whilst thinking about the four humours (for our tea-menu) and looking for a 'this-moment-tea' we realised that air just doesn't exsist cos it is highly volatile. Therefore it is neither in the now, nor in the past, nor the future... So where has it gone?
"Can i also get a refund if a train leaves early?"
"Ehm... well sir, i don't actually know... It never happens"
"Well, last week my train left 2 mins early and the next train was delayed by 15 mins..."
"To be honest I wasn't aware of trains running on time and it definitely didn't happen during my shift, that's for sure!"
I've got a job. (thanx to Queck) A proper one. Finally. Something i seem like a lot! The shop is a cross between a chemist and a Neal's yard, we sell herbs, herbal and homoeopathic remedies, vits, mins, biological stuff, teas, essential oils, etc. I really feel into my element and i smile even more when i get home. I've already 'taken over' the herbal part (and i seem to attract the customers that want the herbal remedies). A marvellous self-confidence boost, a very good way of getting me into my herbs again, and refreshing my memory. All i now have to do is make sure i won't forget my studies...
Sorry guys... my newest obsession
For a while now i've been wanting to write something about falling in love. There are lots of things i do fall in love with (and do get obsessed by and collect...). First and foremost, there are books. There are some lovely books around and collecting them is fairly easy (except when the book is out of print as i found out with my latest obsession). Furthermore, there are the
distillation kits (no, not for alcohol but to make hydrosols), the kits to make wine with (yes this is for herbal/fruit wines), and the latest: the
dehydrator... And of course fabrics, sewing machines, herbs, etc, etc, etc. But there's one thing i'd never thought i would collect: syringes...
