Fabric diet
Monday 29 January 2007 at 11:36 am. If your fabric stash measures twenty-five boxes (one box is about 35x35x35 cm) and twenty-four of them are filled, you know it’s time to go on a fabric diet. So four weeks ago I decided not to buy any fabric until my stash is significantly reduced. The goal is to empty ten of the twenty-five boxes… and I have granted myself one joker: a visit to the fabric market on the 10th of February.In the past years I've collected some beautiful leathers, cotons and wools. But they don't require much space. So I figured it's probably more motivating to start with the fleeces, which do require a lot of space. Making some sweaters should bring me a whole lot closer to my goal (and keep me warm and comfy in this windy winter).
Thinking about space… I’ve got approximately forty (!) meters of velvet: bordeaux, black, blue, off-white, mint green, dark green and some kind of pink… anyone interested in a nice medieval dress? Or a cloak? Or some curtains?
