Wednesday 31 January 2007 at 12:35 pm. Eleven months ago Roommate finally found a nice and cosy little house for himself. He and his jungle moved out, leaving us with a very empty living room. (Twelve plants do make a difference in your interior.) As a goodbye present he bought us one plant, an easy-to-take-care-of-plant. A sensible thing to do, because I can even make plastic plants turn brown and he just forgets about them. So in the past few months I tried: I watered it, talked to it, watered it, gave it light, watered it and gave it some fresh air. But a few weeks ago it was turning a bit brown and soft. So I did regular checkups and watered it some more… I think I accidentally drowned it.They say you should never visit a doctor whose office plants have died. So the fact that I can’t keep a single plant green isn't a good sign. But then again, you don’t yell at the electrician if he can’t get your plumbing fixed, do you? So maybe I’ve got nothing to worry about… except for the plant my grandmother gave me five months ago.
