Herb Walk

Wednesday 16 May 2007 at 11:15 pm. 3 years after i said i would start taking people on herb walks, i actually took my first group of interested med students for a walk. The walk was in a botanical garden in Nijmegen, the city where i used to study dramatherapy. Last week i went there to check out the plants, and got completely soaked! (that was the start of the rainy season) But yesterday, we were lucky. We only had rain before and after the walk... It was good i prepared for it, coz of course they asked me for the chemical substances in the plant, and, with the help of my little notebook, i was able to tell them. There was a talk about herbs afterwards, which i was supposed to join in order to answer some questions, but i ended up talking about the polyclinic, my course, and the way i work... Very unprepared... And to be honest i was quite comfortable doing it that way. I even surprised myself. Maybe i will finally learn how to not get stressed out in these situations...
