Couch cooking

Friday 04 January 2008 at 6:48 pm. The past couple of days I've been teased by a common cold, which made me sneeze and my nose run. Very annoying. But the most frustrating thing about having a cold is the fact you can't cook from the couch. Normally, I put the dinner on the stove and sit on the couch (google-ing, reading, writing) and walk to the kitchen when my nose tells me so. I don't use a timer, nor anything else to check if dinners ready. Just a plain old snif. (Food smells different when it's almost done, done or overdone. It's the same principle as smelling a melon to check if it's edible.) Now, I need a fork to check my vegetables, a timer for the oven and a piece of kitchen paper for my nose. Grmph.
